The Langarkhana at Dewa Sharif is a community kitchen that provides free meals to visitors, pilgrims, and the needy, embodying the Sufi values of generosity, hospitality, and equality.

Sufi Teachings:

It is rooted in the teachings of Hazrat Haji Waris Ali Shah, who emphasized compassion and service to humanity. Feeding the hungry was considered an act of devotion to God.

Inclusive Atmosphere:

The Langarkhanawelcomes everyone, irrespective of religion, caste, or social status. Visitors sit together on the floor to eat, symbolizing the Sufi belief in the equality of all humans.

Operations:

Managed by the dargah caretakers and supported by donations, the Langarkhana serves simple, nutritious meals daily. It is especially active during the Urs and Dewa Mela, accommodating large crowds.
